What exactly is a postbiotic and how is it different from a probiotic?
Probiotics are live bacteria that need to survive, travel through the gut, and colonise to have any effect. Postbiotics are the bioactive compounds that beneficial bacteria produce β essentially the finished product, without needing the live bacteria to be present. Delivered topically, postbiotics act immediately on the skin surface where the problem lives, without any gut transit or dilution.
How quickly will I see results?
Most dogs show reduced scratching within 48 hours of the first application. The yeasty smell typically fades within the first week. Full skin restoration β hair regrowth, barrier repair β takes 3β4 weeks. Dogs with long-standing or severe infections may need up to 6 weeks. That's why we offer a 60-day guarantee β enough time to see the complete transformation.
Do I need to shave or trim the fur before applying?
No. Nuvon is formulated to penetrate directly through the fur coat to reach the skin surface. Simply spray on the affected area and let it dry naturally β about 30 seconds. No shaving, no clipping, no prep. It works equally well on thick-coated and short-haired breeds.
My dog will lick it off immediately. Will it still work?
Nuvon absorbs within approximately 30 seconds and continues working beneath the skin surface. Even if your dog licks the area immediately after application, the postbiotics have already begun their work. The formula is 100% safe if ingested β no cone needed.
Will the problem come back when I stop using Nuvon?
Unlike medications that suppress symptoms and require continuous use, Nuvon restores the conditions that prevent yeast from taking hold. Once the barrier is repaired and the microbiome rebalanced, most dogs maintain healthy skin without daily treatment. Some owners apply once or twice a week during allergy season as a preventative measure.
Is it safe for senior dogs?
Yes. Nuvon contains no steroids, antibiotics, or immune suppressants. It is particularly well-suited to senior dogs whose owners are concerned about the long-term risks of pharmaceutical options like Apoquel. The formula is gentle enough for daily use on sensitive or ageing skin.
Can I use Nuvon alongside Apoquel or other medications?
Yes. Nuvon works on the skin surface and does not interact with oral medications. Most customers find they need Apoquel less over time as the skin heals and the microbiome rebalances. We always recommend speaking with your vet before changing any medication routine.
How is this different from the probiotic chews I've already tried?
Probiotic chews target the gut microbiome. Your dog's skin infection is on the outside β on the surface, between the toes, in the folds. Oral probiotics never reach the skin in meaningful concentrations. Nuvon delivers postbiotics directly to the affected skin surface, where the problem actually lives.

How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1β3 business days. Once dispatched, please allow 8β10 business days for delivery. We use an eco-friendly shipping process which may take slightly longer than standard express options β we appreciate your patience. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order ships.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes β free shipping on all orders over $50. Orders below $50 carry a flat-rate shipping fee calculated at checkout based on your location.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to most countries worldwide including the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and many others. Delivery times and shipping fees vary by destination β these will be calculated at checkout before you confirm your order.
How do I track my order?
You will receive an email with a tracking link as soon as your order is dispatched. You can also track your order at any time using our order tracking page. If you haven't received a tracking email within 4 business days, please contact us at support@get-nuvon.com.
My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Please email us at support@get-nuvon.com with your order number and a photo of the damage within 7 days of receiving your order. We will send a replacement at no charge, typically with expedited shipping.

What does the 60-day guarantee cover?
Our Happy Dog Promiseβ’ gives you 60 full days from the date of purchase to try Nuvon. If your dog's skin doesn't improve β if the scratching doesn't reduce, the smell doesn't fade, or you're not completely satisfied for any reason β we will refund your full order. No return required. No questions asked.
How do I request a refund?
Simply email support@get-nuvon.com with your order number and let us know you'd like a refund. That's all it takes. We process refunds within 48 hours β you keep the product.
Do I need to return the product to get a refund?
No. You keep the product. We don't require returns because we want the process to be genuinely hassle-free. Your refund is based on your satisfaction, not on shipping back a partially-used bottle.
How long does the refund take to appear in my account?
We process refunds within 48 hours of receiving your request. Once processed, it typically takes 3β5 business days to appear in your account depending on your bank. If you haven't seen the refund after 7 business days, please contact us and we will investigate immediately.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly, but if you need to cancel or modify please email support@get-nuvon.com as soon as possible with your order number. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll do our best. If it has already shipped, our 60-day guarantee applies once you receive it.
